Change, renew or replace your card
Alternatively you can contact our NEC team by phone or email to request to renew or replace a card. Please provide your name, date of birth, address details and a reason for replacement.
New cards
You can apply for an over 60s NEC from two weeks before your 60th birthday. We will not be able to process any applications received before this date.
Eligibility

What you need to provide
You will need to provide proof documents as part of your application. These are:

Please include copies rather than the originals unless you are returning the application in person to one of our validation sites.

Applications submitted using a paper form will take considerably longer to process.

Apply at a post office

The post office won’t be able to validate it if you apply using the council form.

If you come across a lost card, please return it to the nearest validation site or service point.
Some older cards might include a freepost return address. Please don't use it as the freepost is no longer active.
